Our [Jets] Nation Turns Its Lonely Eyes to You…?

April 15, 2005

The New York Jets are listening to any and all offers for DE John Abraham, but they have yet to hear from the Dallas Cowboys, the most likely suspect to acquire him, according to The New York Daily News.

Jets’ GM Terry Bradway did let a draft secret slip that may explain why Jerry Jones is sounding all but giddy about trading down. Bradway believes the draft has 18 to 20 first-round- caliber players and that the Jets would consider moving up if that pool of talent was being depleted too quickly.

Guess who owns the 20th pick?

Dallas was mentioned as a possible trading partner for the Jets. If the 18-to-20 figure is a consensus among NFL GMs, Jones phone should be ringing a lot on draft day, if it isn’t already.

On the other hand, if the 18-to-20 figure is accurate, why would Dallas want to trade out of this pool?
