California Dreamin’

Some random notes on a slow June Monday:

  • …You can have your roto but you can’t, play, here… The vote seems pretty clear against fantasy content so we’ll leave that out of the blog content.
  • Oxnard or bust Anybody going to camp this year? I’m toying with the idea of going to Oxnard. I watched camp in person at San Antonio two years ago, and the difference between what my eyes saw and what the mediots crayoned into the papers was staggering.
  • More help wanted Anybody want to help us upgrade (include) images? We could stand to brush up the look of the place.

I was thinking this weekend about approaching Raul to ask about doing some image work for you guys. I’d love to help out that way, it’s my thing. E-mail me.

Definitely am going to camp this year (I’m in san francisco). Did it last year with my girlfriend and she actually enjoyed herself. its true. Arrive early and get a spot on the field level. Last year they broke for lunch and had the offense going against the defense int he afternoon. you’ll definitely to be close the field for the afternoon. I saw Henson complete a series of pretty passes that day. testaverde looked terrible.

Man it must be slow. Spags has an article on FA Reggie Love. A baseketball and WR at DUKE trying to be converted to a LB by Parcells. At 6-4 he has the height but looks way under weight for a Parcells LB.

This guy would need 20lbs to be even close to what parcells wants. I wish him and all the FAs luck, especially Tyson Thompson, Rector and others to give us another wide out or two……..but it just shows how slow the news flow is.

In fact it is so slow, I heard Bill Parcells took a VACATION. Now that is slow.

      Geno,

Spagnola addressed Morgan’s injury in his Ranch Report radio broadcast. He characterized it as no big deal and said that no one at Valley Ranch seemed concerned about it. According to Spagnola, Morgan should be ready for training camp.

Mosley also touched on that subject in a Q and A article at the DMN site. All he says is that the injury won’t require surgery. But he also expresses concern that this is a bad omen, considering the injuries we suffered at the position last year.

I live in Oxnard. I am planning on going the first two days. I might make it on one of the other weekends. You know I have one of those YOBs and it keeps me away from camp on most weekdays.

Trey - have you found a way to watch the cowboy’s preseason? As far as I know, direct TV NFL Sunday ticket does not carry preseason so we’re at the mercy of local broadcasts in California…

I am finding no excuse to miss training camp this year. With all the new players coming in and the most exciting offseason we have ever had I can’t miss it. On top of that I am stationed only three hours away, so I will be out there.

      Derrel,

It’s not the NFL.com rumor central. It’s a link to sportsline rumor central. It has been known to stay down for days. I know that usually when I send an email to support, asking if they have programming positions open because I noticed their message board is down that it usually goes back up. I don’t think its a high priority for them.

Yep…and that has been an unkind type of mercy….More then once last year dallas was one of the networks #1 game the afternoon game and they played a 49er or raider game even through we are 350 miles away from their market

Anyone know where to get 30 tickets at a decent price for the SD game? The Chargers have added this new rule that I must purchase 30 additional tickets to a pre-season game. This is so ridiculous and I don’t want to have to spend $250 per seat. Help!

I can possibly help out with the look and feel of the site: I designed my own sites:
      http://www.BayAreaFootballAcademy.com
      http://www.TeamNextLevel.com

    Got something to say?
