Anyway, watching Atlanta and New Orleans…Atlanta’s defense looks horrible…really bad. Brees looks like a stud.

He spent Thanksgiving night with Jimmy Johnson watching the Kansas vs Denver game talking about how good the times were when Jimmy was coaching the Cowboys.
I love the “hand picked” term. They’re games, not coffee beans. Is Juan Valdez picking them?
It’s committee picked, and the Giants get there because Dallas plays on Christmas Day alone vs. the Eagles. The Giants game is the day before. Also, Dallas vs. Atlanta is on the NFL network, which will tick off a lot of people who don’t have it on cable.

If you want to watch games on the NFL Network, just get Direct TV. It feels sooooooooooo good taking your wire cutters to that cable line coming in your house.
I don’t have access to DirecTV in my apt. complex and I don’t know if I want NFL network. They’re only offering eight games all year and from what I understand, there are several regional networks that have better broadcast standards than the NFL did with the Chiefs-Broncos game.
I’m doing a story on this later this week. Short version — the NFL is putting a gun to our heads and demanding more money. I don’t feel like paying it because they’re not earning it.

Jason Campbell and Jake Delhomme are setting the game back 70 years today. Campbell is averaging 2.7 passing yards per *attempt* and Delhomme is averaging 2.9. This isn’t 1969 and Woody Hayes and Bo Schembechler are not the HCs on the sidelines. Man I’m glad I can’t see that game. I’d have poked my eyes out by now.
mvpalisades,
What about Parcells as HC? Zimmer hasn’t proven squat and given how poorly his interviews have gone the last three years, I’d rather turn this team over to an established HC. Sorry, I’m a bit behind here, but sounds like you got a lazy-assed dish installer. If he could hit the sats with a 6′ pole, I almost guarantee you could get reception from the top of your roof, either a pole attached to the side of the house or strapped to a chiminey if you have one (unless there are like 100′ trees directly to the south of the house that could be avoided from the yard). My experience is that some of the (sub-contracted) installers won’t mess with more-than-easy installs and insist on a yard install. If you can stand on the top of your house and see the sky to the south at a 45 degree elevation, you can get the DTV dish on your roof.

saints and falcons should be a good game
don’t know why i said that twice??? weird.
Anyway, watching Atlanta and New Orleans…Atlanta’s defense looks horrible…really bad. Brees looks like a stud.
Also watching Baltimore and Pittsburg. Baltimore is pushing them around on the line…Baltimore looks like a good playoff team today.
GOT to watch that Giants/Titans game!!!! Is it CBS or FOX?
14 to zip saints right now Vick is living up to his over rated reputation. Lots of former Cowboys playing.
Well as soon as I said that, Vick has a 51 yard run
Who do you guys think will be the Cowboys’ toughest game the rest of the year.
next week at the Giants…1) second toughest road game of the year behind the Philly game this year. Therefore, the game is by far the toughest left on the schedule.
2)Saints @home will be tough. That will be a test for the defense.
Right now,Giants because it’s in Giants stadium. After that the saints game
agreed
Vick has 100 yards rushing already…that guy is f&^%ng fast!!!…
too bad he can’t pass the ball…couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn.
man Pittsburgh looks terrible. Are the Ravens that good?
Rothelsberger is getting no protection and may be hurt
We match up well with the saints. They will move the ball on us but we should move it on them easier. Their DBs are weak.
Is Vick the fastest man alive. He always looks like he acelerating. Hes at a different speed than everyone else. He scares the hell out of me.
What is the deal with Jacksonville losing to the Bills? They have to be the most up and down team in the NFL. We would crush them if we played them now.
bostonfan-
i knew the jax were jokes. they did NOT convince me with their win on monday night football. eli and the giants played so bad, and yet they were still in position to win the game the whole time. jax couldnt put them away. that’s just not right.
even if they make a comeback and win today, i confirmed my doubts about them.
I think the Bills are a young team on the rise. They got a little talent. Not sure which is the real JP Losman. Evans the WR can fly and Mcgehee is tough. Marv aunt no dummy.
Sorry thats aint no dummy.
i cant wait to see giants at 4.
so far no games at 1pm are on pace to match cowboys 38 pts performance
panthers are having a hard time with the deadskins. hilarious.
How about Copper and the hail mary. Dam did the Falcons even try.
keystone and emrdog-
before u conclude that giants will be the toughest game, lets see how they play today first. last week, they looked like pure garbage. if that happens again today, giants might as well be the easiest game other than the lions.
mvppalisades,
no way. even if new york looks like the cardinals today, dallas is still going have to pull out a real good performance to beat ‘em up at new york. doesn’t matter how good a team is or how badly they may be playing or whatever…a division game on the road, especially in the nfc east is always tough.
someone tell brees and palmer to slow down. we need romo’s 306 yds to stay safe.
with the easy games out of the way, 49′ers don’t look so hot anymore.
mvp
Agreed, if the jints suck it up today then the saints game will be the toughest. It’l be interesting also to see how garcia does with the iggles today.
I’d like to nominate Dan Dierforf for the worst announcer in history award. I know Theisman will get a lot of votes ae well.
Is any one watching fox. Every hand picked game here has the Giants. What kind of BS is that.
Did anyone hear the jerry jones show on dallascowboys.com?
He spent Thanksgiving night with Jimmy Johnson watching the Kansas vs Denver game talking about how good the times were when Jimmy was coaching the Cowboys.
Insurance in case Parcells decides to retire?
NY TV audience = $$$$$
panthers cant score a single TD.
Squidlo,
I love the “hand picked” term.
Mantab,
I hope Jimmy doesn’t come back with this team. He’s not that good of a coach for an established team.
If you want to watch games on the NFL Network, just get Direct TV. It feels sooooooooooo good taking your wire cutters to that cable line coming in your house.
D—UMB is pretty funny though
I don’t have access to DirecTV in my apt. complex and I don’t know if I want NFL network. They’re only offering eight games all year and from what I understand, there are several regional networks that have better broadcast standards than the NFL did with the Chiefs-Broncos game.
I’m doing a story on this later this week. Short version — the NFL is putting a gun to our heads and demanding more money. I don’t feel like paying it because they’re not earning it.
Yeah StillHate…..until a storm cloud parks itself over my house with 1 minute left in the CU Colorado State game.
panthers are losing
and what about zimmer for coach?
There’s going to be a full cupboard when Parcells retires - a team with a definite title window. Do you want to risk it on an unknown?
I don’t.
Raf,
can you find out what markets are going to be able to see the atlanta game without nfl network??? that would figgin’ rule…i can’t find out any info.
Stillhate thats a interesting point about Jimmy. I always thought I would want him back anytime, but an established team wouldnt be his.
no way I want Zimmer….no way
Raf, good point about the NFL network. I bought the game for $12 to watch it on the internet, because I can’t get cable or satellite right now. If they think thet Gumbel/Collinsworth are a respectable team, they are sadly mistaken.
I won’t pay a dime for any more of their games, unless the Cowboys are on. If anyone wants to watch a Cowboy game on NFL Network, and their cable provider doesn’t provide it, you can get it on this link for $12.
http://www.livesportson.tv/index2.asp
i’d take Jimmy back in a heartbeat if BP does retire, which wont be anytime soon, IMO.
As far as Zimmer is concerned, forget it. I want an established coach to come in here to carry it forward, when Parcells decides to step away.
but if sean payton could be brought back….
first of all- this is too early to say, but cowboys can emerge as a nfl powerhouse with romo and the 3-4 system finally being broken in like a nice baseball glove. i think parcells will be here for much longer than we think.
since this is kind of an off week for the cowboys, we really need a “I hate the NFL network because they are making it difficult to view a simple football game” thred.
I know, I know…get dish network you say. Well, screw that!!! I’ve got beef with dish network. I tried to get dish network but the guy who came to install it said the only place I could put it and get reception was right in the middle of my yard on top of a 6 foot pole. AND they wanted me to pay 75 dollars for the pole. First of all, I’m from Oklahoma but I ain’t trailer park. I’m not compromising my yard for a dish. Second of all, you want me to pay 75 dollars to make my yard ugly. No. Screw you Dish Network!!!
wow panthers cant even beat the deadskins. that’s one less team to worry about for the conference title game.
I think shockey just broke his finger. Too bad it wasnt his mouth. Of course you realize when we beat them we will have to hear all offseason, draft, minicamp, training camp, preseason, and start of season is how they could of beat us if they had been healthy and our post season success should have been theirs. I work with a New Yorker and I might have to quit my job.
we also know the falcons has no shot at the cowboys. they might be one of the most 1-dimensional team in the leagues.
Falcons appear to have quit.
Emrdog,
Why don’t you join the modern world and get Directv and then you can get the sunday package and the NFL network!!!
how did shockey break his finger? was it from pointing his finger to blame someone and that someone snapped it in two pieces?
Skins just finished off the Panthers with an interception
MVP, LOL!
typical year for new york. the mets had it going, then went into freefall with all the injuries. the giants had it all going, and now freefalling with injuries.
budfox,
excuse me, it was directv…it’s the princple of the thing…i don’t want a stupid looking yard just for football…when i was a kid, we just turned the tv on and the game was there…you didn’t have to deal with satelite angles and crap like that!!
man, did you hear the atlanta crowd boo at the end of the game? i’d do the same, they look absolutely awful.
Emrdog,
When you were a kid there was only one game on and those days sucked. I would talk to somebody about the pole. I live in Oklahoma also (Tulsa) and my dish is tucked away right on the roof. I am getting ready to watch the Giants get killed in High Def!
budfox- i second to that. it’s not about watching the giants get killed, but it’s all about watching them get killed on high definition.
Is it true Tom Coughlin bit off Shockey’s finger?
Budfox,
cool, I’m in stillwater. That’s where i wanted them to put the dish (on the roof) but i was gone and my wife said the guy just insisted on the pole. let us know what’s happening w/ that game if you can!
no i heard shockey was jealous that tiki stole the attention and newspaper headlines with all the finger pointing. so he challenged tiki to a fight and tiki broke his finger.
eli manning misfired all of his throws so far. last year, his mechanics detoriated toward this time of the year.
Eli just looked horrible on that 1st 3 and out.
Is Shockey playing, I just saw them bringing him in for x rays on a quick clip. I got the Pats Bears game here.
Shockey was wide open on that 3rd down.
squidlo- pats to win with their brand new brady-friendly turf.
Raf and others:
Regarding the NFL Network broadcast, you better know where your mute button is. Gumble and Collingsworth are absolutely terrible. Much worse than the Monday crew. I could have been mistaken but the video quality seemed bad too. I just know I like Direct TV because I get so many games. Today I had 2 at 1:00 and 2 more at 4:00. No reason for me to get the Ticket.
BTW,
With my DTV I”m switching back and forth between Pat/Bears and Giants/Titans.
Giants on a drive, Tiki down to the 1
Giants bout to score?
Pats/Bears looks like a slug fest…Pats just blocked a 45 yard field goal try. 0-0 in the 1st
TD NY, pass to Burress 7-0
Stupid Titans
What a surprise. Cover Burress and tackle Tiki, that’s pretty much all you need to do to beat the Giants.
I like Collinsworth, but not Bryant. He sucks and Kornhole is the worst. I have the ticket whic amounts to about $30 a month for the season. We’ll worth especially because of the High-Def.
Hey emrdog, how bout the Sooners! Lol!
Budfox,
LOL. I’m bedlam neutral. I’m glad to see OU have a shot at the big twelve title considering what that jerk Bomar did.
Actually, the titans stuffed jacobs for a 2 yd loss at the goal line on the play before the TD
Im probably should keep my mouth shut but do you okies realize if you wouldnt have been royally screwed by that 2nd rate pac 10 conference yall might be playing for the national championship.
oh yeah, we know. trust me, that was a BIG DEAL here. I guess there’s some kind of justice knowing that everyone in the nation knows ou got screwed on that but still…it stings to this day.
We know down here you were robbed.
Well it looks like Im going to get what I want. Giants look like their playing well.(based purely on score)
yep, looks like showdown time next week.
all good if titans lose- it makes it more sweeter when we steal division lead right out of their hands
chargers having a little hard time putting away the raiders.
Titans are giving the game away on turnovers….
ermdog-
Sorry, I’m a bit behind here, but sounds like you got a lazy-assed dish installer. If you can stand on the top of your house and see the sky to the south at a 45 degree elevation, you can get the DTV dish on your roof.
mvp, what happened to your statement that the Giants were all done? Change of tune eh…hehehe.
yeah, that’s kinda what I thought. there are a lot of trees to the south…so that’s why i didn’t push the point. But there’s a house down the street from me with a dish that’s on the roof with trees to the south as well. I just said “screw it” i didn’t think it would effect my football viewing. turned out I was wrong.
Giants just stopped the Titans on 4th and goal from inside the 5. Young rolled right and tried to run it in. Stopped at the one 21-0 Giants at 1/2
I think Romo is still a lock for offensive MVP so far. Brees had more yards, but 3 less TDs. I like.
Oak/SD 7-7 2 min before 1/2
I mean for the week, of course.
He’ll have do just a bit more for the annual award. ;-p
Let the Giants roll and think that they rule. I want them over confident. Watch them talk in the media this week coming.
bushpilot-
it aint over till the fat lady sings
The Titans are done in this game. It’ll make beating the Giants next week that much more enjoyable.
cutler starts next week-
he can join the list of “i was a hot shot in college and i got rushed into my first nfl start”
examples- see leinart and young
Watching the Gmen play.
Spears better have one hell of game next week to stop Tiki.
Manning has no confidence throwing the ball further than 10 yards.
Almost every Gmen pass is a rollout. they now whitfield can provide no proetction.
chargers are losing to the colts.. no i mean patriots.. no i mean cowboys.. no i mean……… …………….. the raiders?
When your playing the bears you better gaurd the football. Man they are all over it.
What is that graphic that’s on the Pat’s field to either sideline at the 50? I swear I’ve been trying to figure that out for 2 years now.
i dont know but brady is about to go 20-1 on turf. its a good thing the superbowl is in miami so cowboys dont have to deal with that.
uh yeah that’s right i mentioned cowboys and superbowl in the same sentence. it is very clear to me right now that if u don’t have a balanced team, then u are very vulnerable to upsets (example- chargers vs raiders right now, cowboys vs colts)
bears and pats swaped turnovers again.
Titans making a mini-comeback. Now trailing 21-7, just forced a three-and-out deep in Giants territory.
Bears and Pats move the ball against each other but eventually one of them makes a small mistake and drives dead or turnover. Bears have went deep about 7 time already.
Bears score off a bad PI call.
Okay, we’ve officially got a ballgame in Nashville. Titans score quickly and now trail 21-14, with 5:53 still left.
Will the Giants melt down completely?
ya don’t look now but the titans are making a late charge in nashville 21-14
I hate the pass interference call in the NFL. No way should there be a 45 yard penalty on a ball that might not be caught. It’s BS! I am going to be a nervous Willie all week waing for the douche bag giants. I going to take Friday off to start my weekend sooner! I love football and this time of the year!
bushpilot- it aint over till the fat lady sings no?
Chargers just lucked out big time, Oakland should have got the ball, but the Refs screwed em.
Jackson their rookie WR caught a long pass, and went down untouched, then got up spun the ball foward as he walked back. Oaklandpicked it up, and the refs called it Oaklands ball, but reversed the call, saying it was an illegal foward pass.
Stupid officials! They hosed the 49ers too. not that I like either team, it just buggs me.
Titans have the ball back and a chance to tie it up!
go Vince!!!
how the f……………….?
did that just really happen?
i cant even believe my eyes right now.
Please God let the Giants lose!!!
budfox- is it me or did a giants player just lay off the sack?

goddamnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
i still cant believe that happened.
i need to relay that 10000 times before i believe it.
Man, did any of you guys see Seau’s broken arm? That was sick! His arm got caught in an awkward position between the runner’s lower legs while making a tackle.I think he’ll hang it up after that. You could just see his arm bent in a weird angle and knew it was broken for sure.
If the Titans make a comeback and beat the Giants, the Giants are done! Bring on the Giants! They’ll find out how good the Cowboys are with Romo at the helm.
Hell Yeah!
