Programming Note

My grandfather died this morning and I will be participating in his funeral later this week, so I’ll probably miss the opening days of camp. More as I know it.

    surrounded.

He lived 102 years so I think he got his money’s worth. I’m relieved for him because he was in poor health the last one.

Condolences. ONe of my grandfathers lived to 96- and he started out at the age of 12 and worked 50 years in the coal mines. I think he would have lived several more years if they had not decided to move to florida and he no longer had a garden or part time painting/carpentry to keep him busy. He just sort of slowed down and passed away. He was still working a full time job untill he was 87.
I still miss him. No matter how long they are with you, its never long enough.

My condolences to you and your family, my Great grandfather passed in 1982, always loved listening to his stories about his younger days and his days in the wars to end all wars when I was a kid. I’m sure your grandfather had some great stories to tell.

The Commissioner has ordered Mike Vick to NOT show up to camp until the league conducts their investigation.

In a letter to mike Vick, Commissioner Goodell said: “While it is for the criminal justice system to determine your guilt or innocence, it is my responsibility as commissioner of the National Football League to determine whether your conduct, even if not criminal, nonetheless violated league policies, including the Personal Conduct Policy.”

    Raf,

My condolenses for your loss. Its always tough losing a loved one.

    ————————–

I was thinking about DC.com article on injuries. Particularly about Stanback. Assuming he’s signed, would he be eligible for the PUP list? If he is, then he would not count as part of the 53 man active roster, right? That would give him from 6 to 10 weeks, to determine if we need him or if he’s ready to play. If not, we could put him on IR and effectively “redshirt” him, correct?

Assuming these assumptions are correct, don’t be surprised if he opens the season on PUP, then ends up on IR. IF we have a lot of injuries at WR early in the year, then he comes off the PUP list and plays this year.

    Just a guess.

I’ve never attended a Cowboys game in person. Do row 1 seats have a good view, are do players/cameras/etc obstruct your sightlines?
