Keith Davis to Re-join Dallas — on Monday

Posted: August 30, 2008 @ 11:11 pm

Now, why would the Cowboys wait to sign Davis until then?

Are more deals in the works?

If no more moves are in play, it will be interesting to see whether they cut an offensive lineman or a defensive back. If they did the former, the Cowboys would have TWELVE d-backs on their roster.

This makes Davis the second coming of Elvis Patterson. He’s not much as a coverage safety, as today’s early story pointed out. He is a good special teams player, however, and the Cowboys could always use more of those.

I guess we could use the guy but man!!! I was soooo hoping to get rid of his ass just so the CHANCE that he may have to fill in as a safety could never, ever happen again. Damn.

    1st!!!

I think that indicates that Wade and company are more worried about the coverage teams then they let on.

Welcome back, Bullets. Here’s to never seeing you play a defensive snap this season.

it sure would be nice to get back that 6th and 7th round picks we wasted on walden and Ball. hopefully the extra OL and DB will get us that. that is probably hoping fo rtoo much though. anyone know what we gave up for the guard.

Maybe it’s a “Sign and Trade” like the NBA.
Maybe the Knicks want him to bang down low??

I skimmed the names cut, don’t know anyone, but did notice last year’s camp hero Junior Glymph couldn’t make the Dolphins’ roster either.

I can’t believe we lost both Austin and Hurd, we’re not looking good at WR. Stanback at #3?
    Sign a castoff this late?
Both are bad. I hope there’s a plan with Jefferson, or the lilttle white dude.
I don’t know how it works getting them to the practice squad, I think they have to get through waivers first-Maybe they’re trying to get one of them on the PrSquad, then will call them up for the first game or 2???

Loved the Larry Allen deal. Wish he could have stayed and gone out as a Cowboy for his whole career.

Methinks the guys have to clear waivers (72 hours?) before they can be placed on the PS. Then if nother team wants them they can have them unless we can place them on the 53 man. basically we get first crack at them then.

I want to see Danny A, Lowber, and Keon lattimore, as well as the DE that was wrongly imprissoned…what was his name?

Yes- Marcus Dixon. Imprissoned for dating a white girl.
Played like Div-I and had a lot of teams showing interest on draft day…fell through the cracks to us and signed as UFA. Back injury, and he’s done…what a shame.

You would like to have the 6th and 7th back for Walden and Ball. Yep.
How about the #1 for Carpenter?

Rolleyes and smile. I can’t wait for Keith Davis and Pacman on the nite club circuit. Maybe not a nite club. Maybe an after hours club. Frown.

Arrording to the Star-Telegram “the Cowboys just released cornerback Evan Oglesby.” This move is expected to make room on the roster for the signing of safety Keith Davis. Why not one of the lousey lineman or another CB Ball? I know a lot of teams are dying for CB help? Who makes these decisions…

Got something to say?
