No excuses for that one. The Dallas Cowboys got manhandled by a fired up New York Giants team, losing 31-24 after opening up with a solid 10-0 lead. Dallas couldn’t run the ball, the defense gave up some big plays and special teams broke down with a missed FG and a punt return for a touchdown. Also, one crucial fumble gave the Giants a big momentum swing heading into halftime.

By dropping this game, the Eagles have caught Dallas in the NFC East (technically Dallas owns the tiebreaker for now) and the Giants are only one game out. Instead of gripping the lead tight, the Cowboys have opened the door for a three-team melee in quest of the NFC East crown.

It doesn’t get any easier, the next two games are against the Chargers and the Saints. Those two games will go a long way toward deciding which direction this Cowboys season goes. They’re still in good shape for a playoff run, but they’ll need some stout efforts over the next two weeks.

Vent in this thread.

(Keep it clean, and keep the name-calling and other crap out of the threads. We will be moderating closely.)
